The explosive offense of the AA/A/B North Girls was dominant inside and out 
as they defeated their South counterparts 105-57 in the first game of the 2023 McDonald's Senior All Star Weekend at Husson University. Game MVP Sierra Carson of Oxford Hills High School was solid in both halfs and scored 25 points to lead the North squad. Miss Maine Basketball Lizzy Gruber of Gardiner High School was a force inside and also scored 25 points. Also scoring in double figures for the North were Isabella McLaughlin of Hampton Academy with 12 points, and Abbie Quinn of Bangor High School with 11.
The South was led in scoring by Anna Turgeon of Falmouth High School with 12 points, including 3 treys. Scoring 11 points with 3 baskets from behind the arc was Hannah Cook of Thornton Academy, while game MVP Jessica Dow of Thornton scored all 9 of her points in the first half.
The North led 55-38 at halftime.
